Investing in God’s World

an 8 evening exploration

of what God is up to, and how you can be a part of it

God is up to something in the world. A quick look around and you can see that the world is not what it is supposed to be. Far too many people desperately need healing, love, justice, and liberation. That is why God is actively working to better the lives of every person on earth. Only, God needs you to invest yourself in God’s world in order to be part of God’s plan, even if that means living in a way that is often at odds with the dominant culture around us. Come and explore how God is changing the world by changing lives, and how you are invited to be an integral part of the most important ministry there is.

Each Monday evening for eight weeks, May 2nd to June 20th, a group will gather at Eagle Ridge United Church to engage the basics of the Christian faith. At 6 pm, we’ll sit down for a meal together, followed by discussion around a specific topic and then small group exploration of where the evening’s topic touches your life. We finish up at 9 pm.

Immersion doesn’t assume that the participants have any experience with the Christian faith, with the Bible, or with the church; nor is it just for beginners. So, don’t worry if you’re completely new, or you’ve been on this journey for a long time, there is something for you!
